Your Information
Privacy policy
What we collect, why we need it, who we share it with, and what you are agreeing to when you contact us. Written in plain language, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to answer you and to place your bond.
- We share your information with surety companies, because that is the only way a bond gets approved and issued.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- This website sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising trackers.
- Marketing email is opt in, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
The sections below are the actual policy.
Information we collect
Almost everything we hold is information you gave us on purpose, on a form, on an application, or in conversation with our office.
Information you give us directly
When you fill out the contact form on this website, we collect your first name, last name, phone number, email address, your company name if you enter one, and whatever you write in the message field. Name, phone, and email are required, because without them we cannot answer you.
When you apply for a bond, whether online, on a downloaded form, by fax, over the phone, or in our office, you give us the information the surety needs to consider the application. Depending on the bond, that can include business details, ownership and license information, the obligation being bonded, financial statements, and personal identifying and credit related information about owners or officers. We ask for what the specific bond requires and no more.
When you call, email, fax, or visit us, we keep the correspondence and notes that go with servicing your account.
Information collected automatically
This website does not run analytics software and does not profile visitors. However, like every site on the internet, the servers and services that deliver the page can see technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested. Section 05 lists exactly which outside services are involved and what they see.
Payment information
Online payments are handled on a separate secure portal operated by our payment processor. Card and bank details are entered there, not on this website, and this website never receives or stores them. If you pay in the office or by mail, the payment record is handled under normal business and accounting practice.
Sensitive information
Some bond applications legitimately require sensitive identifiers, and some involve a credit inquiry by the surety. When that is the case, it is because the surety requires it to evaluate the application, and we tell you what is needed for your specific bond.
How we use your information
Every use below is either answering you, getting your bond done, or keeping it in force.
- To respond to you. Answering your question, quoting a bond, or telling you what a specific obligee requires.
- To prepare and submit your application. We are a bonding agency, so we assemble your file and present it to the surety company best suited to it.
- To issue and service your bond. Producing the bond, sending it where it needs to go, handling changes such as riders and cancellations, and dealing with a claim if one arises.
- To handle renewals. Most bonds renew annually, so we contact you ahead of the expiration date to keep you from lapsing.
- To take payment and keep the billing records that go with it.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including insurance and surety recordkeeping requirements, licensing rules, and tax law.
- To send you information about our services, but only if you have opted in. See Section 03.
We do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers or advertising networks. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Consent to contact you
What you agree to when you send us your phone number and email address, and how to change your mind.
Contact about your request or your bond
When you submit the contact form, send us an application, or give us your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you about that request and about any bond we handle for you. That includes calling you, emailing you, or faxing you about a quote, an application, a document we still need, an issued bond, a renewal or expiration, a billing matter, or a claim.
This is the ordinary business communication that makes the bond possible, so we cannot switch it off and still do the work. If you would rather we use one channel and not another, tell us and we will note it on your file.
Marketing email is separate, and it is opt in
Marketing email means general news and updates about our services. We will only send it if you check the optional box on one of our forms or otherwise tell us you want it. That consent is not a condition of getting a bond or of doing business with us, and declining it changes nothing about the service you receive.
Notices about a bond we handle for you are not marketing and are not part of this optional consent. Renewal and expiration notices in particular are part of servicing an active bond, so they continue either way. A bond that lapses because a notice was switched off is a real problem for the person who holds it, which is why we treat those notices as part of the work rather than as promotion.
Withdrawing marketing consent
Every marketing email we send contains an unsubscribe link. Use that link and you will be removed. It is the way to opt out, it takes one click, and it does not require contacting the office.
Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop the service communication described above, because we still need to reach you about a bond that is in force.
Recording your consent
When you submit either of our forms, the message that reaches our office records whether you opted in to marketing email, so there is a clear record of what you chose.
By giving us your phone number you are asking us to be able to reach you on it, including a mobile number if that is what you provide. Standard call and message rates from your own carrier may apply. Tell us if you would prefer we use a different number.
When we share information
A short and specific list. If a recipient is not on it, we are not sending your information there.
- Surety companies. This is the important one. We are an agency, not a surety, so every bond has to go to a surety company for review and approval before it can be issued. Submitting an application means your information goes to one or more sureties we represent. Without that, there is no bond.
- Obligees and other parties to the bond. The bond itself is a document naming the party requiring it, so the information printed on the bond goes to whoever requires the bond, and where applicable to a project owner, general contractor, or government agency.
- Your insurance agent or broker, if an agent brought us your account, so they can keep serving you as agent of record.
- Service providers who work on our behalf: the form delivery service, the electronic signature service, the payment processor, and, only if you opted in, the email marketing platform. All four are described in Section 05. They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
- Professional advisors, such as accountants, auditors, and attorneys, where needed.
- When the law requires it, including a subpoena, court order, regulatory examination, or lawful request from a government authority, and to establish or defend legal claims.
- In connection with a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case information about accounts would transfer with it and remain subject to a policy like this one.
Cookies, tracking, and outside services
The honest version, including the outside services this site loads and what each one can see.
We set no cookies and we do not track you
This website does not set cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no cross site tracking. Nothing on this site follows you elsewhere on the internet, and we do not build a profile of your visit.
Outside services the pages load
Static websites assemble themselves from a few shared sources. Each one below is a company that can see your IP address and basic request information when it delivers its piece of the page, under its own privacy policy rather than ours.
- Google Fonts. Serves the typefaces used across the site.
- Cloudflare. Serves the icon set used for the small symbols on each page.
- Google Maps. The map showing our office on the Contact page is an embedded Google map. Google may set its own cookies through that embed. It is the one component on the site that can, and it only appears on the Contact page.
Services that handle information you submit
- Our form delivery service. The contact form has no database behind it. Your message is passed straight through to our office inbox by a third party delivery service, which processes it to deliver it to us.
- Adobe Sign. The online applications are hosted and electronically signed on Adobe's platform, so an online application is submitted through Adobe and then reaches us.
- Our payment processor. Online payments happen on the processor's own secure portal. Card and bank details go to them, not to us and not through this website.
- Our email marketing platform. This one only applies if you opt in to marketing email. Your name and email address are then held by the service we use to send those messages, which is also what provides the unsubscribe link in every one of them. If you never opt in, your information is not sent there.
Do Not Track
Because we do not track visitors in the first place, there is nothing here for a Do Not Track signal to turn off.
Links to other websites
Where we link out, such as to the payment portal, an online application, or an industry association, that site is governed by its own privacy policy and not by this one.
Security, retention, and your choices
How we look after what you give us, how long we hold it, and what you can ask us to do.
How we protect information
This website is served over an encrypted connection, and the contact form is transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access to client files inside our office is limited to staff who need it to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we do not claim it is. Please do not send financial statements, identifying numbers, or other sensitive documents through the website contact form. Call the office and we will tell you the appropriate way to get them to us.
How long we keep it
We keep bond and account records for as long as we are servicing you, and afterward for as long as insurance and surety recordkeeping rules, tax law, and the potential for a future claim on a bond require. Surety obligations can outlast the bond term, which is why these records are not disposed of quickly. Inquiries that never became a bond are kept only as long as they are useful for following up.
Your choices
- Opt out of marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send. See Section 03.
- Ask us to correct something, in writing. If information we hold is wrong or out of date, send us the correction in writing. Accurate information matters here, because a bond is issued from it. We cannot accept changes over the phone. A bond is a financial guarantee and the details printed on it have to be right, so a change to your file needs to come from you in a form we can keep on record.
- Choose not to give it. Any field on any form is yours to leave blank, but understand that a surety may not be able to consider an incomplete application.
Where this applies
We are located in Miami, Florida and we operate in the United States. This website is intended for users in the United States, and information you send us is processed here. Some of the outside services listed in Section 05 are large providers that may process technical data elsewhere.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the revised version on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle your information will be reflected here, so it is worth a look if it has been a while.
Requests In Writing
How to reach us about your information
Requests for corrections and updated information need to come to us in writing so we have a record of them. Please email the agent that helped provide you a bond with any updates. Please do not use these channels for marketing opt outs: the unsubscribe link in the email itself handles that immediately.
