What We Do
Surety bond services
Contract, commercial, and fidelity bonds across Florida and the Southeast. If it needs a bond, we can bond it.
Who We Are
Surety bonds are all we do
Security Bondex Associates is a bonds-only agency. Surety is our entire business, and it has been since 1973.
That focus matters more than it sounds. Because we place bonds every day, we know which surety markets are comfortable with which risks, and we know what a file needs to look like before it goes out. Having been in surety since 1973, we have built associations that allow us to represent some of the largest insurance carriers devoted to suretyship.
When you bring us a bond request, we identify the right bond for your obligation, match it to the surety best suited for it, and prepare the file for approval. Once it is approved, we issue the bond from our Miami office. Our staff brings more than 50 years of combined knowledge in the surety industry, so if you are not certain which bond your license, contract, or court order calls for, sorting that out is the first thing we will do with you.
- Contractors and subcontractors
- Business owners and licensed professionals
- Attorneys and law firms
- Motor vehicle and equipment dealers
- Insurance agents placing surety for their clients
- Anyone required to have a bond
Nearly everything we write falls into one of three categories. Jump to the one that fits your situation, or call us at 305-552-5414 or 1-800-780-5414 and we will point you to it.
Contract bonds
Contract bonds back the commitments you make on a construction project. They assure the project owner that the work will be completed according to the contract, and that your subcontractors and suppliers will be paid. We write them for general contractors and subcontractors of every size, from a first bid to an established bonding program.
An easy application, great for new G.C.'s or subs, provides up to $2 Million in bonding capacity for those with excellent credit.

Commercial bonds
Commercial bonds are required by government agencies, courts, and licensing boards before you can hold a license, take a court action, or operate in a regulated industry. This is the broadest category we write and it covers the majority of the bonds our clients need. If a state agency or a court has told you to post a bond, it almost certainly falls here.

Fidelity bonds
Fidelity bonds protect your business from losses caused by dishonest acts of your own employees, including theft, fraud, and embezzlement. They are strongly recommended for any business whose staff handles cash, client property, or sensitive assets. A separate branch of this category, the ERISA bond, is required by federal law of anyone who handles the assets of an employee benefit plan such as a 401(k) or a pension plan.
A $100,000 bond covers up to 5 employees. Call our office for current premium rates.
